Priscilla Mealy

Former Southold resident Priscilla Mealy of Flushing passed away April 15, 2018, at the Apex Rehabilitation & Care Center in Huntington Station. She was 76.

The daughter of Aubrey and Rosa Mealy, she was born March 27, 1942, in Goochland, Va. and graduated from Southold High School in 1959.

Ms. Mealy worked as an operator with Verizon (formerly Bell South). She was a longtime and active member of First Baptist Church of Flushing.

Family members said she enjoyed traveling all over the world and was an avid reader and faithful servant, student and teacher of Christ’s word.

Predeceased by two brothers: Otha Mealy and Frank Mealy and two sisters: Bernice Daniels and Cornelia Finney, Ms. Mealy is survived by her brothers Aubrey Mealy, Jr. and Wendell Mealy and a host of family, nieces and nephews.

Homegoing services were held April 21 at Calvary Baptist Church of Riverhead. Interment took place at Cutchogue Cemetery.

Arrangements were in the care of DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Homes in Mattituck.
