The North Fork gathers in observance of Memorial Day

The Memorial Day services and parades kicked off with a 7:30 a.m. march through Orient.

The annual parade began at the Orient firehouse and traveled down Tabor Road en route to the World War I memorial near the yacht club, where wreaths were laid and prayers said. The parade continued up Village Lane, stopping at other monuments, including the Civil War monument at the head of the street, before returning to the firehouse.

Check back later for photos from the town parade in Southold.
