Residents and guests from across the North Fork gathered Monday to pay tribute to the men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
The American Legion Post 803 in Southold hosted the annual Southold Town Memorial Day Parade in Southold. The route began at the intersection of Boisseau Avenue and the Main Road and ended at the Legion hall. There was a pause for a ceremony at the gazebo on the corner of Youngs Avenue and Main Road.
Before the parade a Color Guard laid wreaths at the World War I monument next to the American Legion.
