We are blessed that Pop was welcomed back home in Heaven, by his predeceased daughter De De on Father’s Day. He was born Nov. 9, 1933 in Sveti Vid, Croatia, and predeceased by his parents Joseph and Lucy, and loving sister Jelica.
We were all truly blessed by his rich love of family, the glisten in his eye, sparkle in his smile, and above all, his deep trust in God. We will hold a special place in our hearts forever of the endless love he shared with Mom, his special friendship to all, the quiet wisdom he whispered gently to us when needed, his untiring courage and strength of his journey, and the family memories shared together that are written in the stars.
We miss you greatly already Johnny, Dad and Pop-Pop, but you have filled our hearts with the love, strength and faith to carry us forward. We will see you again someday, when your arms will hold us once more. Until then please know that our love is with you always, as we feel the presence of your love in all we are and do.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, June 20, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold.
