Southold Blotter: Cutchogue man arrested for DWI

John Carey, 50, of Cutchogue was arrested for driving while intoxicated Saturday around 12:49 a.m. after he was seen driving 70 miles per hour on Route 48 in Mattituck, according to Southold Town police. 

• Ryan Greene, 40, of Greenport was arrested for DWI Sunday around 10 p.m. after he was reported for driving erratically and failing to maintain his lane on Route 25 in Greenport, police said.

• A Mattituck man reported his 2008 Cadillac Escalade was stolen while parked in front of his house sometime between 8 p.m. last Tuesday and 8 a.m. last Wednesday, police said.

• A New Suffolk woman reported that a fraudulent line of credit was opened in her name last Thursday in the amount of $2,305 from the Home Shopping Network, police said. 

• A Greenport man said that coins totaling $50 were stolen from his vehicle that was parked in front of his house sometime during the day Monday, officials said.

Those who are named in police reports have not been convicted of any crime or violation. The charges against them may later be reduced or withdrawn, or they may be found innocent.
