The Work We Do: Charlene Bugdin, Blue Sage Day Spa

I’m Charlene Bugdin from Blue Sage Day Spa. I love making my clients feel good about themselves, rejuvenated. I can do anywhere from four to seven treatments a day, other than answering emails, talking to clients, etc.

In 1989 I graduated cosmetology. From cosmetology I went on to Christine Valmy skin care school and got my first job working at Gurney’s as an esthetician. I worked there for eight years. From there I went on my own, Charlene Skincare, and then decided to go back and do paramedical training.

I worked for a plastic surgeon, so I was experienced in their techniques and I also worked at Blue Sage Day Spa, which is where I am today. I just took over the business in March of 2018. I love being with people.

I love having clients come in who have either acne or just low self-esteem and they end up leaving with a skincare regime, rebooking and having a whole new look for themselves.

It makes me feel good that I’m able to be in the room and talk with them, make them feel comfortable. It’s my passion.

Blue Sage Day Spa is located at 11700 Main Road in Mattituck.
