Theresa R. Chomicki

Theresa R. Chomicki of Mattituck died Jan. 30. She was 91.

She was born Aug. 9, 1927, to Kazmere and Sophie Stopinski in Helmetta, N.J. She and her husband, Alexander, were married Nov. 3, 1956, in Brooklyn.

Ms. Chomicki enjoyed painting, reading, needle work and traveling and was a parishioner at Our Lady of Ostrabrama R. C. Church in Cutchogue.

She was predeceased by her husband in 2001; her mother in 2004; and by her brother, Vincent Stopinski, in 1998.

Ms. Chomicki is survived by her son, Steven (Cynthia) and her daughters Theresa and Catherine, all residents of Westchester County, N.Y.

The family received visitors Feb. 3 at Coster-Heppner Funeral Home in Cutchogue. Services took place Feb. 4 at Our Lady of Ostrabrama R. C. Church in Cutchogue followed by interment at Calverton National Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or East End Hospice Kanas Center for Hospice Care.
