Engagement: Cara Slotkin and Ethan Crook

The engagement of Cara Slotkin and Ethan Crook has been announced by the couples’ parents, Jay and Joanne Davis Slotkin, Catherine Crook and Leo Punckowski of Laurel and Eric Crook of Providence, R.I.

Cara is a 2010 graduate of Mattituck High School; a 2014 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University; and a 2019 graduate from University of Maryland with a master’s in education. She is employed at the International School at Theodore Roosevelt High School in Washington, D.C., and was recently selected as a Fulbright Scholar to Rwanda.

Ethan is a 2008 graduate of Mattituck High School and a 2013 graduate of Suffolk County Community College’s culinary program. He is currently employed at St. Anselm restaurant in Washington, D.C.

The couple will be married Aug. 15 at a private ceremony and will leave for Rwanda. A wedding celebration is planned for Aug. 15, 2020.
