Anne H. Zaneski

Anne H. Zaneski of Mattituck died Saturday, May 11, at San Simeon by the Sound nursing home in Greenport. She was 97.

She was born May 3, 1922, in Newark, N.J., to Joseph and Mary (Grajewski) Golisz. She later married John S. Zaneski and together they made their home in Cutchogue for many years.

Anne was employed at Hazeltine in Riverhead and later at North Fork Bank, where she worked as an operations specialist.

Predeceased by her husband in 1973 and by sons John E. Zaneski in 1976 and Michael A. Zaneski in 2003, Ms. Zaneski is survived by four grandchildren, Michael, Andrew, Jean Ann and Janet Lynn. She was also predeceased by siblings Leo, Edward and Felicia (“Inchie”).

The family will received friends Thursday, May 16, from 4 to 7 p.m. at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 17, at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Ostrabrama R.C. Church in Cutchogue, with Father Joseph D’Angelo officiating. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery.
