Nicholas G. Andriotis

Nicholas G. Andriotis of Southold died May 10. He was 74.

He was born Sept. 24, 1944, to Calliope (Caravakis) and Constantine Andriotis in Manhattan.

He attended architecture trade school and made a 50-year career as a builder and contractor.

Mr. Andriotis married his wife, Anna, on May 31, 1964, in Queens.

He was a member of St. Nicholas Church parish council and men’s league in Flushing, N.Y., and Sts. Anargyroi, Taxiarchis and Gerasimos parish council in Greenport.

His family said he enjoyed fishing, carpentry and serving his church and community.

Mr. Andriotis was predeceased by his brother, Emmanuel Andriotis, in 1989. He is survived by his wife, who resides in Southold; his daughters, Maria, of Flushing, and Cally Williams of Auburndale, N.Y.; his sisters, Helen Tsiakaros and Mary Douvres of Roslyn; and two grandchildren.

Visitors were received May 13 at Horton-Mathie Funeral Home in Greenport. A service took place May 14 at Sts. Anargyroi, Taxiarchis and Gerasimos Greek Orthodox Church in Greenport. Interment followed at Sterling Cemetery in Greenport, officiated by His Grace Bishop Demetrios of Mokissos, Fr. Andreas Vithoulkas and Fr. Evagoras Constantinides.

Memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warriors or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
