Rose E. Rogers

Rose E. Rogers of Riverhead died May 10. She was 90.

Ms. Rogers was born April 27, 1929, to Magdalena (Rychlinska) and Franczisek Elak in Mattituck.

She graduated from Southold High School in 1948. She married Thomas L. Rogers Aug. 26, 1951, at Our Lady of Ostrabrama R.C. Church and became a homemaker.

Her family said she enjoyed bingo, crocheting and gardening.

Ms. Rogers was predeceased by her husband Sept. 7, 1982; her daughter Catherine Goodale; her son-in-law, Edward Kaczmarek; and her grandson, Keith Goodale.

She is survived by her daughters Patricia Kaczmarek of Riverhead, Debra (Greg) Viani of Flanders and Donna Kerrigan of Aquebogue; her sister, Helen Salmon of Southold; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitors were received May 13 at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral Mass took place May 14 at Our Lady of Ostrabrama R.C. Church in Cutchogue followed by interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
