Veronica M. Cabral

Veronica M. (Loeb) Cabral, 78, of Wrentham, Mass. passed away on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026.

Born in Brooklyn, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Veronica (Willis) Loeb and grew up in Greenport. Veronica worked for many early years at Eastern Long Island Hospital and later years, as a supervisor at a sleep clinic in Massachusetts until her retirement. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, Scrabble with friends, and her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Veronica was the heart of the family, devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had a beautiful way of making everyone who knew her feel welcomed and loved. She was a sweet, kind, smart, loving person who gave her family a lifetime of love, wisdom, encouragement, and unforgettable memories. Her presence was a constant source of comfort and strength, and her love will continue to live on through the generations to come.

Veronica leaves her three children: Michael D. Hilliker of Lewiston (the late Tracy Hilliker of Maine); Carrie A. Lezy and her husband, Eric, of Seekonk; and Crista M. Hilliker of Merrimack, New Hampshire; nine grandchildren Dylan, Faith, Taylor, Alysia, Christian, Melissa, Jordan, Sarah, and Madison; and eight great-grandchildren; as well as her six siblings Barbara McMahon, Chris Bainbridge, Phyllis Gelinas, Kenneth Loeb, Richard Loeb, and Paul Loeb.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend visitation to be held Friday, Sept. 18 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at William W. Tripp Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at noon at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish, Coyle Drive in Seekonk. Interment will follow at Seekonk Dexter Street Cemetery.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to The American Lung Association would be appreciated.
