Ian Vasquez delivered a bases-loaded single with one out in the bottom of the 10th inning to score Ryan Brockett with the winning run for the North Fork Ospreys, who edged the Southampton Breakers, 6-5, in an Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League game on Monday night in Peconic.
A leadoff single by Ryan Brown and a pair of hit batsmen (Brockett and Matt Carroll) loaded the bases for Chris Hueth, who drew a walk, tying the score at 5-5 with his third run batted in of the game. Hueth had homered earlier in the game, which brought the Tomcats their fifth win from seven contests.
Southampton dropped to 3-3 despite three RBI and a home run from Steve Schrenk, four hits from Jordan Zech and three hits by Steve Harrington.
