Greenport High School interim principal William Caulfield has resigned from the post he’s held since December, The Suffolk Times has confirmed. Superintendent David Gamberg said Mr. Caulfield left due to “personal reasons” and will be replaced by Robert Feeney, the school’s former interim principal who left late last year.

Robert Feeney has been serving as a sort of pinch hitter for school districts in recent years.

The Greenport school board has hired an interim secondary school principal to replace Leonard Skuggevik.
Retired school administrator Robert Feeney of Centereach, who serves on the Middle Country school board, will serve as Greenport High School principal for an undetermined length of time while the district conducts a search for a permanent replacement. (more…)
