Cops: Man resisted arrest after burglary in Southold

A Mattituck man was arrested for burglary, resisting arrest and harassment Monday afternoon, after Southold Police responded to a call of an unwanted person in a home on Route 25 in Southold.

Police said Jason Capazzola, 35, fled the scene on foot when police arrived at about 1:50 p.m. After a brief chase, officers caught up with Mr. Capazzola, who allegedly shoved an officer being taken into custody, according to police reports.

Police said they later found Mr. Capazzola had stolen money from the residence.
