Cornelia C. Keogh

Cornelia “Connie” C. Keogh of Greenport died peacefully March 19 at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. She was 86. 

She was born at home in Smithtown to Etta (Call) and James A. Keogh. She graduated from Kings Park High School in 1946.

Connie worked most of her life for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office, having attained certified professional secretary and certified paralegal status. She retired in 1983.

Connie enjoyed being a Suffolk County Girl Scout leader for over 30 years. She also enjoyed reading mystery novels and doing crossword puzzles.

Connie was predeceased by her sister Ellen Theresa Keogh in 1930. She is survived by her cousin, Beverly Hallock, whom she shared the family home with for 45 years; and many cousins, their children and grandchildren, whom she maintained close relationships with.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 18, at St. Agnes R.C. Church in Greenport. Interment will take place at Sterling Cemetery in Greenport.

Memorial donations to St. Agnes R.C. Church – John’s Place would be appreciated.
