Margaret M. Friis
Margaret M. Friis, a former resident of Harbor Lane, Cutchogue, died on Nov. 1, 2010, at Brookstone Living Center in Pollocksville, N.C. She was 95 years old.
She was born in Jamaica, Queens, on May 29, 1915, to William and Mary E. Pidgeon. On Oct. 18, 1937, she married Edward J. Friis.
She lived in Cutchogue for 60 years before moving to North Carolina 10 years ago.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Parish in Cutchogue and St. Mildred R.C. Church in Swansboro, N.C.
Predeceased by her husband, she leaves her children, Patricia Konarski of Cedar Point, N.C., and William Friis of Orlando, Fla.; and seven grandchildren, Jamie Davidson, Patty Jones, Mary Kelley, Monica Fusetti, Denise Spinks, Donna Friis and Debbie Spinks.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, Nov. 26, at 9 a.m. at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Cutchogue. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home.
