Economic Development Committee listening tour concludes tonight

Southold Town’s Economic Development Committee, along with members of the town board, will hold its third and final stop on a town-wide listening tour tonight at the Mattituck-Laurel Library.

The committee was established earlier this year to help town government understand what it can to do to help the local business community during the recession.

Members of the committee hope to receive feedback on how the town can retain and recruit businesses and to find out what services and resources the business community needs from the town.

Mattituck insurance agent John Stype has been appointed the town’s liaison to the business community, and he will host tonight’s meeting, which begins at 6:30 p.m. in the basement of the library.
