Walter Camier

Walter Camier of Orient Point died March 7. He was 100. 

He was born Feb. 15, 1915. Mr. Camier served in the U.S. Army during World War II and later worked with computers for the U.S. Postal service.

Family members said he loved Orient, fishing and spending time with family.

Mr. Camier is survived by his wife, Rose; his children, Judy Cook, Patricia Gunther, Kathleen Coleman and Walter Camier; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family received visitors March 11 at Horton-Mathie Funeral Home in Greenport. A  funeral service was held March 11 at the funeral home, officiated by Father Richard Hoerning of St. Agnes R.C. Church in Greenport. Burial with U.S. Army Honors took place at Calverton National Cemetery.
