Engagement: Colleen Murphy and Jacob Sisson

Jacob Sisson and Colleen Murphy, both of Jersey City, N.J., have announced their engagement.

Jake is the son of Mark and Lauren Sisson of Mattituck, and a member of Mattituck High School’s class of 2006. Colleen is the daughter of Louise Murphy of North Brunswick, N.J., and Gary Murphy of Canal Winchester, Ohio.

Both Jake and Colleen are graduates of Cornell University, where the couple met. Colleen earned a bachelor’s degree in biology at Cornell and a master’s in physician assistant studies at Touro College School of Health Sciences in Manhattan. She is a physician assistant with Dr. Keith Jackson in Staten Island. Jake earned a bachelor’s degree in human biology, health and society from Cornell. He works in advertising operations with artnet in Manhattan.

A wedding is planned for September 2016.
