St. Patrick R.C. Church will host its fifth annual chicken barbecue this Sunday, Aug. 2, from 4 to 6 p.m. Tickets are $28 and may be purchased by calling the Rectory at 765-3442.
The Southold Mothers’ Club will host its 15th annual summer auction next Thursday, Aug. 6, at 7 p.m. at Macari Vineyards. $10 admission includes light fare, a DJ, door prize, chinese auction and 50/50 raffles. Cash wine bar available.
A CAST food drive is set for Saturday, Aug. 8, as follows: Greenport IGA: 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.; Southold IGA: 9:45 a.m.-1:45 p.m.; King Kullen, Cutchogue: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; and Waldbaum’s, Mattituck: 10:15 a.m.-2:15 p.m. Nonperishable food items, cash and gift cards will be accepted. Southold Historical Society’s “North Fork Annual” juried art exhibition will open Friday, Aug. 21, with a reception from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Reichert Family Center’s Cosden-Price Gallery on Main Road. Painters and sculptors from all over the East End were invited to participate and, at the reception, one will win a $500 purchase prize for the exhibit’s best artwork. The art on display will be for sale for the duration of the show, which runs Thursdays-Sundays, from 1-4 p.m., through Sept. 5. For more information, call 765-5500.
