Virginia H. Maginn

Virginia H. Maginn, 84, of Mattituck died Nov. 19 at Hampton Center for Rehabilitation in Southampton. 

She was born Nov. 30, 1930, in Queens to Vincent and Helen Crawford. She married Cornelius on April 19, 1952, in Bellerose.

Family members said Ms. Maginn was a homemaker who loved gardening, writing, painting and grandchildren. She was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Cutchogue.

Predeceased by her husband in 2009 and her daughter Catherine O’Brien in 2015, Ms. Maginn is survived by her son, James Maginn; her daughters Margaret Clennan, Eileen Villano and Susan McAllister; and 12 grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors Friday, Nov. 20, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Coster-Heppner Funeral Home in Cutchogue. A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Mattituck. Interment will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cutchogue.
