Even before a ball was kicked at Scraggy Hill Field in Port Jefferson Tuesday afternoon, Mattituck High School girls soccer coach Rafael Morais knew his team could be in for a long afternoon.
Not only is Port Jefferson the defending state Class C champion, but it is loaded again.
Rafael Morais inherits a Mattituck High School girls soccer team that finished 7-8-1 overall and was eliminated in the Suffolk County Class B semifinals, but he has some very, very high hopes for this season. His goal is to win the New York State championship. READ
