Slide show: Racing around Peconic Landing for a cause
Peconic Landing held its 7th annual May Mile & 5K Saturday to celebrate Older Americans Month and to raise money for the Greenport Fire Department.
Under clear skies, runners and walkers completed a circuit around the Peconic Landing campus, ending near Brecknock Hall.
Jack May of Freeport, Maine won the 5K with a time of 18:50.
Tara Wilson of Shelter Island was the first woman to complete the race and Tommy Vines of Brooklyn was the first child to finish.
