Van Rensler Brown of St. Louis, Mo., died July 7, 2010, after recent heart bypass surgery. He was 84 years old.
He was the son of the late Dr. Kenneth I. and Muriel Brown, longtime residents of Orient Point, the brother of the late Dirck W. Brown and the beloved husband of the late Freda V. Brown.
Van graduated from Granville High School, Granville, Ohio, in 1944 and attended Denison University. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Navy in the Pacific.
His sister-in-law, Molly Brown of Lexington, Va.; his nieces, Julia Fiorino, Anne Pundyk, Mary Brown and Jeanne Dexter; three great-nieces; and one great-nephew survive him.
