Local residents provided housing for the students. While visiting the capital city of San Salvador, the group visited a local hospice, the U.S. Embassy and a cathedral where they learned of the experience of one nun who lived through the Salvadoran Civil War in the 1980s.
Belated happy birthday wishes are sent to Carley Manwaring, who turned 19 on Jan. 24, and Ruth Eilenberg, who blew out her candles on Jan. 25.
