Baseball: Narodowy, Selvaggi brings Ospreys shutout

Nick Narodowy and Kris Selvaggi combined to pitch a four-hit shutout for the North Fork Ospreys last Thursday when they edged the Westhampton Aviators, 2-0, in an Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League game at the Hite Athletic Complex in Westhampton.

Narodowy gave up two over eight innings, walking seven and striking out five. Selvaggi relieved him in the ninth when he gave up two hits and struck out two for the save.

Brendan O’Brien had two hits and scored a run for the Ospreys (14-12).

Westhampton pitcher Taylor Black allowed six hits and one earned run over six innings, during which he registered seven strikeouts and no walks. Jordan Patterson stole two bases for the Aviators (15-12).
