A new day spa in Cutchogue is opening its doors just in time for Mother’s Day.
Adagio Day Spa will open May 9 on Main Road, in the same building as STAT Health. Services include a variety of massages, facials, and body treatments as well as an infrared sauna. Products by Arbonne, a natural cosmetics line, will also be for sale.
“I’ve had a personal massage therapist for five years, and she was kind of looking for a new ‘home,’ ” said Karen Catapano, a Cutchogue resident who co-owns the spa with her husband, Michael Catapano, an urgent care doctor who practices at STAT Health. Ms. Catapano also owns Catapano Dairy Farm in Peconic and teaches ballet at Main Stage Dance Academy in Greenport.
“When the space became available in this [business] complex I thought it’d be a perfect opportunity,” Ms. Catapano said. “The spa is designed around a model of wellness.”
Five part-time massage therapists and an aesthetician who will offer facial waxing make up the spa’s team. Customers can receive $15 off a 30-minute sauna session during the month of May by bringing in a coupon featured on page four of this week’s print edition of the Suffolk Times.
Adagio Day Spa is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It is closed Wednesdays and Sundays. To make an appointment, call 631-734-7727.
