Southold-Peconic: SHS art auction benefit Sunday

Catch local author Mary Agria at Southold Free Library on May 4 at 7 p.m. She will read and discuss her latest novel, “Garden of Eve,” for the last time before hitting the road with her husband, John, in their motor home for a book tour that will take them from New York to Iowa.

You’re invited to a party! The Zumba fitness party, that is. Join personal trainer and Zumba instructor Jill Schroeder this Friday, April 29, from 6-7 p.m. in the Southold elementary school gym. Your $10 donation will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

An art auction to benefit the Southold Historical Society will be held this Saturday, April 30, at Castello di Borghese Vineyard in Cutchogue. The preview begins at 4:30 p.m. and the auction starts at 6. The $10 entry donation includes wine and hors d’oeuvres. Happy 69th anniversary — yes, 69th! — to Edwin and Felicia Koraleski of Peconic, who celebrated on Wednesday.

A collection of artwork will be on display at the Old Town Art and Crafts Guild in Cutchogue April 29-May 6. It includes works by Southold artists Francesca LoPresti and Angela Raso and former Southold residents Gilbert Miner, Edna Hart, Joseph Hartranft and Rose Hutchinson.

The women of First Presbyterian Church will hold their first barn sale of the year this Saturday, April 30, from 8 a.m. to noon, at the historic barn on Wells Avenue. Come and browse a large selection of new merchandise including glassware, china, household collectibles, jewelry and lots more. All proceeds go directly to East End charities.
