Heather Nicole Domino

Southold resident Heather Domino died July 31 in a neighbor’s swimming pool. She was 23 years old.

Born in Brooklyn June 12, 1989, she was adopted by Michael and Joy Domino of Southold, where Mr. Domino is a Town Trustee. Ms. Domino graduated with a Regents diploma from Southold High School and did further study at the Recording Engineers Institute in Islandia.

She opened a recording studio in Greenport three years ago. Having chosen a career in music, Heather was a songwriter and guitarist who recorded her own music as well as the works of other artists. Her latest CD is due to be released before the end of the year. Her family and those who knew her well admired her talent as well as her intelligence, kindness and complexity.

She is survived by her parents; her brother, Michael Domino, and sisters Amy Aprile and Tracey Moloney; her grandparents; two nieces and four nephews.

Visiting hours were held Aug. 5 at DeFriest-Grattan in Southold. Interment took place Aug. 6 at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Port Jefferson.
