Robert A. Mellas

Robert (Bob) A. Mellas of Belmont, N.C., died Dec. 2 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C. He was 51.

He was born June 24,1961, in Greenport to William and Lois Mellas.

Family members said Mr. Mellas was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be truly missed. He was a man of great integrity and loyalty, always there to lend a helping hand, they said, and he spent his free time riding his Harley.

He is survived by his daughter, Breanna; his stepdaughter, Janessa Brock; his sisters, Jean Pitt of Virginia, Lois McClure of Texas and Laurie Staron of Southold; and two granddaughters. He was predeceased by his wife, Sandra (“Sam”), his parents and his brother, William.
