Joseph A. Genchi

Joseph Anthony Genchi of Greenport died July 8 at the age of 63.

He was born Nov. 22, 1946, in New Jersey to James and Marie Genchi and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 to 1970.

According to his family, Mr. Genchi enjoyed playing poker, helping the homeless and volunteering at St. Agnes R.C. Church in Greenport.

He is survived by his mother, of Greenport, two nieces and one nephew.

The family received visitors July 13 at Coster-Heppner Funeral Home in Cutchogue. Graveside services were held later that day at Calverton National Cemetery, with military honors.
