Charles Cartselos

Charles Cartselos of Cutchogue died Nov. 24 after a long illness. He was 80.

He was born Sept. 20, 1930, in New Brunswick, N.J., to Theodore and Sophia (Vetsikas) Cartselos and married Elpiniki Kandounatakis in Astoria on Nov. 4, 1962.

Mr. Cartselos worked for Grumman Aerospace in Calverton as a mechanical engineer.

He had a great love for the North Fork and its natural beauty. He also loved fishing and spent endless hours at Cutchogue-New Suffolk Library. He enjoyed his family and grandchildren and will be missed.

Mr. Cartselos is survived by his wife; his children, Lola (Jeff) Pabian, Sophia, of Peconic, Charles (Rebecca), of Greenport, and George (Regina), of Southold; and five grandchildren, Gabrielle and Jacob Pabian and Nicole, Nikolas and Daniel Cartselos.

The family received visitors Nov. 30 at Coster-Heppner Funeral Home in Cutchogue. Funeral services were conducted Dec. 1 at Transfiguration of Christ Greek Orthodox Church in Mattituck by Father Constantine Makrinos. Interment followed at Cutchogue Cemetery.
