Edward J. Grocke

Edward J. Grocke, a North Fork native and former Greenport resident, died Jan. 24 in Stuart, Fla., where he had lived for 40 years. He was 94 years old.

Born March 16, 1916, in New Suffolk to Edward and Jennie Grocke, he was a commercial fisherman.

Mr. Grocke was predeceased by his wife, Rita, in 1992, and is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services were held Jan. 29 at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cutchogue, under the direction of Coster-Heppner Funeral Home of Cutchogue.
