Henry Anthony Corazzini Jr.

Lifelong Greenport resident Henry Anthony Corazzini Jr. died July 5 at Eastern Long Island Hospital. He was 76 and had resided at San Simeon by the Sound Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Greenport for the past year and a half.

He was born Dec. 23, 1935, in Greenport to Mildred (Berry) and Henry A. Corazzini Sr. and attended Greenport schools.

He worked tirelessly as a volunteer at St. Agnes R.C. Church in Greenport and, in 2009, was awarded the Diocesan St. Agnes Medal of Service for over 50 years of devoted effort.

Mr. Corazzini also worked doing odd jobs, including mowing lawns and opening Peconic Bay scallops when the season was in full swing.

He enjoyed playing bingo, taking long walks and watching sports on television, particularly the Yankees, his favorite team.

He is survived by his brother, Robert (Elizabeth) Corazzini, his niece, Lisa Corazzini DeCamp, and his grand-niece, Arianna DeCamp, all of Potomac, Md.

Visiting hours took place July 9 at Horton-Mathie Funeral Home in Greenport. A memorial service was held July 10 at St. Agnes R.C. Church, Father Thomas Murray officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery.
