Mattituck cheerleading team finishes third at county championship

There was no sitting on the sidelines for this one. The Mattituck Game Day varsity cheerleading team not only showed off their pep and spirit at the Section XI Class C Game Day Championship in Brentwood on Sunday, but they showed out, too.

The Tuckers — who took their first foray into Game Day cheer — finished third at the county competition. 

It’s also the first time in the school’s history that seventh graders have been a part of the varsity cheerleading team.
