Cops: Woman involved in crash had no license

Police arrested a Southold woman on Sunday after they said she was involved in a car crash on Manhasset Avenue and found to be driving without a license.

According to Southold Police, 33-year-old Miriam Villavicencio was involved in a single-car crash around 12:45 p.m. Police said that a computer check revealed that she didn’t have a license, her privileges were suspended, and she was driving a car with inadequate brakes.

A computer check revealed that she also had a warrant out of Suffolk County, according to police.

She was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. She was also charged with driving unlicensed and for having inadequate brakes.
