Eleanor Collins Faust of Orient died Dec. 11. She was 93.
The daughter of Mabel (Longendyke) and Frank Collins, she was born May 14, 1922, in Brooklyn. She graduated from Westwood High School in New Jersey and received a Bachelor of Arts from Fordham University in 1980.
In 1946, she married George Warren Faust in New Jersey.
Ms. Faust served in the U.S. Air Force in 1944 as a Women Airforce Service Pilot. She later worked in the theater department at Dartmouth College from 1981 to 1985.
She was a member of Oysterponds Historical Society. Family members said she enjoyed golf, sewing, reading and her dog, Coco.
Predeceased by her husband in 1984, her son Robert Thomas Faust in 2004 and her brother Robert Collins, Ms. Faust is survived by her son George Randall Faust of Orient and New York City; her daughters, Virginia Ann Faust of Middlebury, Vt., and Elizabeth Wheeler of Lyndonville, Vt.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were in the care of Horton-Mathie Funeral Home in Greenport.
