Cops: Man busted on drug charges in Cutchogue

A 24-year-old man was arrested for possessing marijuana and cocaine Friday night in Cutchogue, according to Southold Town Police.

Michael Lawrence, of Mount Sinai, was stopped for a traffic violation on Route 48 around 6:15 p.m., according to a police report.

Officers found Mr. Lawrence was in possession of the drugs, police said.

He was arrested for misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance and transported to police headquarters where he was later released on bail, according to a report.
