Nelson Coreas-Fuentes of Greenport was arrested Sunday around 7:13 a.m. for driving while intoxicated. Police found Mr. Coreas-Fuentes sleeping in a parked 2014 Dodge Ram on the side of Route 48 in Cutchogue. The vehicle was running, police said, and Mr. Coreas-Fuentes was intoxicated in the driver’s seat. Police also found a can of Corona White beer in the vehicle.
Vincent Leone, 21, of Greenport was arrested around 4:54 a.m. last Saturday and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, along with a number of related offenses allegedly committed while he was attempting to flee police via ATV.
A 21-year-old Greenport man was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and a host of related offenses following an attempt to flee police on an ATV in the early morning hours Saturday, Southold Town police said.
A Southold man called police around 12:49 p.m. last Tuesday to report a mulch fire in his neighbor’s backyard. Police, along with members of the local fire department, responded and extinguished the fire. The neighbor told police that the homeowner, a Southold man, frequently has fires in his backyard and that attempts to contact him are always unsuccessful. The neighbor left a voicemail on the homeowner’s phone notifying him of the incident, as he was not home. Police advised the neighbor to reach out again if a future incident occurs.
